WAKE UP CALL

woke up a few minutes before 11 with a call from valerie

she'd called to see if i was "a few minute away"

i said no.. 

i told her last week i wasn't able to make it this week

she seemed like she needed someone to be there today

since stella apparently couldn't make it either

but it's mother's day

of course i'd want to spend it with my mum

bro drove us to the city :D

we ate at a jap restaurant :D

MOTHERS DAY PRESENT

i was originally going to buy a two handled knife for my mum

however i realised that i was underage T___T

u have to be 18 to buy a knife

i was talking to amelia about it

and she said that's it's bad luck to give a knife as a present

and that if i did, i'd have to ask my mum to give me 10cents

it's some asian superstition thing

in the end i told my mum about wanting to get her a knife

and that i wasn't old enough to get one for her

she seemed interested in the knife

i told her that we could go check out the knife together

and if she wanted it, she could buy it

and then i'd give her money so there was no "bad luck" involved

she said ok

later on she decided that she'd buy a frying pan

and she told me to just give her the money for that

so i did that (:

i still wanted to make her something

but i didn't know what

so i just sewed an envelope to put the money in (:
